The drums are already rolling for the upcoming Russian “Vostok” (east) wargames commencing on September 11. With its focal point in the Trans-Baikal region of eastern Siberia adjoining Chinese Manchuria and Mongolia, this is a nationwide Russian military and societal event.

No surprise the Chinese are linking up with the Russians to counter US allies in the Asia Pacific Region. The Chinese are seeking regional influence and control over large swaths of Asia, including the entire South China Sea.
We need to counter with our other Asian allies: Japan, Australia, India, South Korea, and possibly Indonesia. Along with our Carrier Groups, we'll have plenty of ways to project power into the region.
