Sounds great. Except... it is an accounting nightmare. Unless the emrchant has an automated Point of Sale (POS) Checkout system. But Somebody is going to have to sit down and enter the UPC's for all the "Tax Holiday" items.
Meanwhile politician's sit back and bask in the "love" because they "care." They didn't have to pay the IT guy to reprogram the POS system. I'm so sick of politician's who do great things, all the while putting ZERO skin into the game. Don't let the bastards fool you into thinking they care. They are counting on us to not think very deeply.
