However, I would prefer any investigation by the Navy should have been kept quiet until they finished, then either charging him or dropping the entire case.

If I understand the law correctly, as long as he is not saying he represents the Navy or the united states government in any capacity, and not in uniform, all he is doing is expressing his first amendment rights.

Think we need to investigate Hamas sympathizers too - maybe the radical left. This is the United States, the knife cuts both ways. My opinion is my opinion and if we lose our opinions as Americans we lose free thought and the ability to discuss issues. The left seems to want to silence everyone who has a different view than them. if you hurt (stalk them, dox them, violate their property) someone you should go to jail. A thought is a thought; mine alone. Nothing pisses me off more than when people try to take other people's rights in the name of a "fad" or "moral" ambiguity (right or left). A tattoo is not anything... and if that is your standard for determining someone is bad, you are wrong- they have a right to an opinion as do you, I can nearly guarantee he is no more evil than the people who throw stones at him. This is propaganda - straight up. if this is where our military is headed, we're all in trouble - an American military that does not have any common sense and logical foundation.
