Should the United States concern itself with the (presumed) assassinations that other nations execute? Should another nations' human-rights views influence US foreign policy with that nation?

Jamal Ahmad Khashoggi was a permanent US resident.
By definition, we should concern ourselves with the protection of our citizens and those we have granted residency within our borders.
Although the 1st, 4th, and 5th Amendments are restrictions on our (US) Governments Power to enact Law, they are also philosophical constructs in which we as a nation symbolically operate. We (as the People defined in our Constitution) cannot in good faith associate with nations who hold dissimilar values. Specifically, Freedom of Speech/Journalism, Freedom from Seizure (life), and Freedom from Capital Crime without Due Process.
Although an argument can be made that what our neighbors do "in their backyard" is not our concern, it becomes our concern, when it affects our people, or when they attempt to make us complicit in the act.
Unfortunately, I am of the mind that the Global Stability is our goal. The question then is how much we are willing to pay for it... are instances like this worth it?

Parties other than blaming an ally as a group. You paint with a broad brush while attempting to blame President Trump due to not taking action. Due process and thorough investigations resulted in discovering how far you on the left will go, to destroy a candidate for the SCOTUS. Yes, we do care for due process.
