Sears Canada died last January and Sears USA was a 50% shareholder. What a sad story. I last visited Sears Brea, California back in 2001. Once I got Lasik in 2002, I stopped buying contact lenses from their Optical Deptartment.

We're going to see many more retail stores like this fold in the future - this is just a continuation. Pretty soon, we're not going to have any place to physically go and look at products.

They have been circling the drain for years. That chain was my store of choice for much of my life. Good quality products, good prices and good customer service. All gone, Amazon listens to their customer and thrives.
