Seattle gun tax failure? Firearm sales plummet, violence spikes after law passes

It would be interesting to study the history of taxation in America. This is only a Scientific Wild Ass Guess (SWAG) on my part; I do not think that the founding fathers intended for taxation to be used as a behavior modification tool. It seems PROFOUNDLY un-American to use taxation for that purpose. Overwhelming consensus seems to have been the bar established by the "Founding Fathers" to prevent tyranny by 51%. Since the anti-gun choice crowd has not been able to produce that overwhelming consensus; they should cease and desist with the legislative chicanery and go about consensus building. Until they achieve their overwhelming consensus, I will resist them by every legal means possible.
