So what other departments will lose staff so that the police won't? The reality is that Coronavirus has affected city revenues EVERYWHERE so the thought that budget cuts aren't coming is totally unrealistic. Those cuts should be equal across all departments, police included!

They really can't cut back, John, they lost 100 officers of the 800 assigned. I am sure more have quit. The 100 figure that quit was given to me 5 weeks ago. The talk in the Police Union was 30 were going to be let go by the end of the year. The morale is low. The Police Chief is being asked to come back and she will not. The Black Lives Matter Mob wanted 400 Officers let go just because they are Marxist and want chaos. According to my Hispanic Seattle Police Officer in my unit, The ones being let go are the most ethnically diverse. Many of the Police who have been there a long time are White. It is a mess. The Mayor is defying the leftist city council. The department is broken.
