Post-traumatic stress will always be there. Just make sure those kids stay away from cigarettes & Alcohol. My wife's side of the family on the Indian reserve has lots of suicides because they have no hope, they have no self help group and they drink alcohol and do drugs before they kill themselves. My sister did drugs and drank a lot before she hung herself in July of 2015. Make sure that people you know who know those survivors make sure they go to alcoholics and Narcotics Anonymous. Taking guns away from people won't make a difference as we saw at Fort Hood when a crazy jihadist psychiatrist killed many soldiers with a handgun and extra magazines.
