Took almost 2 decades of war to come up with the concept... and to embrace it long enough for it to work will be difficult for an Army that sees WWII style campaigns as its future focus. The real aspect is that we have needed these for decades now.... but if they are not worked into the system - they will go the route of the AFPAK hands and other ideas (if promotion worthy jobs are not seen - then no one fills them). The other item is that we have yet to understand that we need a similar force to help nations fight the IW fight in the operational and strategic levels.. and without it... your only trying to win in one spectrum.
