This is no surprise, the ELECTED officials set the stage and now the citizens reap the rewards. If regular folks were allowed to defend themselves this would screech to halt as the bodies piled up. Criminals tend to be wary when they are getting killed for robbing folks.

We are now seeing the long term manifestations of her ill advised 2015 utterances. That is at the core of the issue. Currently, due in part because of her statements Police are marginalized, thugs are emboldened and property owners feel as if the City does not care about them. It is axiomatic that once you abdicate responsibility for leadership at any level for the purpose of political expediency - it is almost impossible to regain respect as is evidenced by her successor's inability to curtail the rampant violence that is emblematic of 2018 Baltimore.
