See Virgin Orbit's first space launch in multiple camera views

Virgin Atlantic is no longer just an Airline now that Virgin Orbit is in play any more as they just launched 10 satellites into orbit via a The 70-foot-long (21 meters), two-stage LauncherOne, which is capable of delivering up to 1,100 lbs. (500 kilograms) to orbit, took off from California's Mojave Air and Space Port today at about 1:50 p.m. EST (1850 GMT; 10:50 a.m. local California time). The rocket left the ground beneath the wing of its Boeing 747 carrier plane, known as Cosmic Girl.

Great video and interesting concept. I can definitely see advantages to launch from an air breathing aircraft.

It limits the size of the rocket, but for small payloads, it looks like a winner, Jack!

The X-15 was launched from under a B-52 back in the 60's, so this isn't a new concept.

You are so right, Steve, but the X15 didn't launch satellites... Updated technology for sure, but it confirms that we can launch rockets into low Earth Orbit... It remains to be seen if this goes further... Have a great evening, Steve...
