More of that Christian theocracy: Allison Rushing, a dangerous religious extremist and former warrior for an anti-LGBT hate group, has been confirmed to a lifetime appointment as a federal judge.
Rushing was confirmed to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit by the Senate earlier this week on a 53-44 party-line vote, with all present Democrats voting against her, and all present Republicans voting for her.
The confirmation makes Rushing, 37, the youngest federal judge in the country, and also one of the most dangerous.
Before being confirmed Rushing worked for the Alliance Defending Freedom, a conservative Christian organization that has been classified as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center.
In her writings, she has rejected the separation of church and state while arguing that “village secularists” and other “offended observers” should not be allowed to challenge government actions that violate the Establishment Clause which guarantees the separation of church and state.

This is from the Progressive Secular Humanist which automatically means anyone with a religious background is a threat. I do not like her position on LGTB but when you push too hard you end up with people who want to push back everywhere. I am thinking in particular of the large monument in Maryland that is a cross and the left's objection to this religious symbol. That's the sort of thing that gets people into judicial seats.

The Southern Poverty Law Center is a Democratic mouth organ for their ideology and only takes on high profile cases. The initial purpose of SPLC was to help wrongly accused prisoners and represent the indigent. And now the Democrats have one less judge on the Appellate Court they can cry to in the 4th Circuit. Maybe SPLC should stick to helping other and less time trying to please their masters.

I don't know if pushing back on the Grinches that make it their mission in life to tear down nativity scenes in the town square constitutes an extremist. I'd go the other way on the group out of Wisconsin that hunts for people with standing so they can sue and bully towns into compliance with their atheist point of view.
