I think this will harm us in the long run! Especially with all the Collateral damage with the drone strikes!

SPC Andrew Griffin, I believe that you have a valid point with tying this to collateral damage, which opens the door for those entities to bring suit in US courts.

The Iraqis and Afghanis have already been receiving money for collateral damage. I don't know about the Yemenis or the Pakistanis if they are planning to sue or not. This is a dangerous two way street. Pakistan and Yemen can sue us due to the drone strikes and the sending of ground troops. I do agree with you on this one.

If this makes it to his desk, Obama looses either way. What we do to them will come back when they do the same to US. Imagine those who have been "harmed" in our GWOT suing Pres. Bush for the initial invasion into Iraq especially being everyone knows it was based off lies and bad intel. Iraq is about to get PAID!!! Then Obama will catch it from everywhere else that didn't sue Bush for the drone strikes, the SOF strikes, the Afghani cop who was punched by the GB, man at the rate this is going, Vietnam and Cambodia will sue the brakes off Kennedy, Nixon, and Johnson. England will sue us for whooping their asses not once but twice. I hope George Washington has some good insurance. USAA has some good rates. Africa is coming too....Ben Affleck, you better run!!! Your family owned slaves. So about that heritage not hate....how about heritage and BROKE AS HELL?

The 9/11 victims have been well compensated by the taxpayer and businesses. This is just another action of our litigious society. There is great risk on our part since we are constantly at war with entities around the globe , even though we normally compensate victims when we are at fault, many times even when there I doubt. Be careful what you wish for.
