Nothing. Which is a fact that the career politicians would like Americans NOT to know, so they can continue to divide America while they ransack and pillage our government's coffers for themselves.

They are low income and barely scrapping by to pay bills and take care of themselves. That takes priority over putting away money for retirement as cost of living increases beyond their means.

The intent of the legislation is to allow employees to utilize the retirement plans in the company that employs them rather than a municipality's retirement system. The Republicans did not take away an employees ability to save for retirement. What it did do was take away the city's political leverage over the People.

Wow! So this is what he was talking about yesterday while listening to POTUS radio. He was advocating individual responsibility to figure out how to save money for retirement because some employers and GOP government are not going to help you with reasonable and affordable options. **angry face**

SP5 Christine Conley - Democrats "saving" society? I guess that's true in the same way that Mao Tse Tung "saved" China during the "Cultural Revolution" using his "Great Leap Forward."

SSG(P) (Join to see) - Seeing how China is kicking our butt on an economic and cyber warfare level, do you really want to use Mao Tse Tung as an example of dooming China's future with the government he established? Remember the further right we go in Conservative ideology, the closer we become a class tiered society of authoritarianism.

MAJ James Woods - China also has a really bad record on human rights and their economic prowess has been built through the maiming and deaths of factory workers. China has no safety regulations or regulatory agencies like OSHA; those injured on the job are entitled to nothing and are easily and immediately replaced. They have been kicking our butt on trade because the Obama Administration allowed them to do so through lopsided trade agreements that hurt US interests. The fact that we are just now learning the value of cyber shows a lack of foresight on our part, not innovation on China's part. They aren't the only ones who have recognized the offensive capabilities of cyber warfare decades ago. China's success has come through what we call "cheating." Lauding someone for success through nefarious means shows a distinct lack of integrity.

SSG(P) (Join to see) - The US also has a really bad record on human rights and equal rights. It's only been 50 years since the equal rights movement so lets not pretend we don't have a bad history when it comes to bad and dangerous working conditions, poor healthcare for our workers, unfair wages, and cheap labor. China has been buying our debt long before Obama so knock it off that much of our financial districts only became susceptible to China the last 8 years when it was deregulation of Wall Street under GOP administrations that opened those vulnerabilities. Yep we have OSHA and EPA but now we're seeing reversal on many regulations that was put in place to protect workers, communities, and environments. Add that many of our influential Americans in business sector, wealth, and politics been opening doors to China long before Obama for cheap manufacturing, labor, deals, etc. at the expense of domestic policies. So while we've been engaged in Middle East the last 15-20+ years if you want to go back to Desert Storm, our other enemies (Russia, China, North Korea, Iran) been busy with espionage, financial incursions, and cyber activities against those same influential American groups that open doors for their own agendas. It was Obama and we're just learning importance of cyber are short sighted excuses.
