"Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., who chairs the Senate Armed Services personnel subcommittee, stopped short of promising a pay hike larger than the 1.6 percent planned for troops in 2017, but did hint that his panel will look for ways to change that figure"...ummmm I'm not that smart....F-35 anyone? LCS? New Abrams tanks? F-35? F freakin 35? I found a few ways just by mentioning the F-35. Maybe congress takes a pay CUT? I'm only an enlisted man, and we're not seen as too smart, but if you really wanted to "find" a way to get the money to make raises, I just gave you a few. BUT some flag officer who's retiring into a cushy senior executive position who needs this program to survive will do whatever it takes (Hint AF leaders) to keep a program alive even though it's KNOWN it cannot outdo the job of the plane it's slotted to replace.

SSG Warren Swan this smells fishy, we need all of congress support and especially "Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., who chairs the Senate Armed Services personnel subcommittee. You would think he would be more proactive in the service members pay raise and the proposed changes to military retirement arena.

I hope that Sen. Lindsey Graham is seriously interested in military pay and not grand standing SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL. I will be glad when sequestration is no longer the law of the land.
