If a person engaged in violent actions that day or committed other crimes, then they need to be prosecuted in accordance with the law.
If people were there and peacefully protesting, then that is protected and any government official who tries to harass them should be removed from their position.

There were a lot of people who were in DC to peacefully protest and had nothing to do with the actions inside the US Capital.
Lumping them in with the people who assaulted Capital police and broke laws that day is wrong, and anyone who does so is only looking to try to score political points.
