Fort Hood does not need a new command structure. Fort Hood need soldiers that aren't pussies. These Are Soldiers. You think they're going to get treated better when they go over to Afghanistan? Fort Hood is no better or worse than any other large post and the United States.

PFC (Join to see) I don't know where you're getting your information but soldiers are not being murdered when their guard is down. I have gone into great detail about each incident resulting in death and there have not been 28 murders on Fort Hood. Look at my MOS next to my name. I was stationed at Hood and I know what happens there and what doesn't.

PFC (Join to see) You were stationed at Fort Meade and Fort Leonard Wood. You don't indicate Fort Hood on your profile. What you've "heard" and reality are two different things. There have been five homicides on Fort Hood. This is consistent with Fort Stewart, Fort Gordon, and Fort Bragg. There have been six suicides. There have been eight deaths as a result of traffic collisions. Again consistent with the afore mentioned posts. All of the others occurred off post with no indication of any relationship to Fort Hood other than the the SM's were assigned to the post. Fort Hood is a rough post. But no rougher than those mentioned. None of this would have been an issue had it not been for PFC Vanessa Guillen. Her death was horrific but not necessarily indicative of what life stationed at Fort Hood is like. When it's an all-volunteer military you get all kinds of people. Many of them are people one step ahead of the law that have not filed charges. With a population of 200,000 it's only reasonable to expect issues. For some reason people seem to think that any Army Post it's cotton candy and rainbows. Why? You can't change human behavior. To turn this on the Command Staff and make it their fault that human nature is what it is in my opinion was wholly inappropriate. Crime happens. Suicides happen. Traffic accidents happen.
