Any where. When we wear our uniform and are not armed we become a soft target for terrorist. Terrorists need to see a strong show of force - We are not afraid of all the tertorist, but all the terrorist should fear the passion that drives Warriors that will defend Freedom and our way of life.

I agree but there still have to be rules. I can't speak for these modern times, but everyone carried a weapon inside the wire in Vietnam, but there were rules. No round chambered. No magazine in the weapon (carried separately). And you didn't carry live grenades into work and living areas. There were cans of sand outside every hooch for people to dry fire their weapons to demonstrate that they were playing by the rules. I suspect the same should be true in modern installations.

I sure wasn't allowed to bring my M-60's, loaded, into our hooch. I removed the ammo at the helicopter and brought my guns in with the lid open.
