Part of his sentence is reduction in grade to PV1 and Dishonorable Discharge, so I suspect the stripes are already gone. Too bad they don't have the old drumming out ceremony

The military judge probably considered Bergdahl's five years of Taliban captivity and his brig time since returning to be "credit for time served" and thus figured he didn't have to do any more time behind bars. As to Bergdahl's mental state, I can't comment on that, although he looks pretty lucid in the videos I've seen him in. Anyway, good luck getting a decent job with that DD, Bergdahl, although I figure that one of the rich left-wingers will probably hire you as a scullery boy or something, just to poke a thumb in the eye of "the man."
