Very interesting question CPT. When professors teach and grade on their personal opinions and lower grades and even fail students who don't share the same viewpoints though well defended and written, then we have a major problem. I know this has been going on for awhile, but don't have specifics only trends and generalities. Grade on content, grammar, and thought; don't penalize them for their own opinions. College is meant to be a place for free thinking.

If you don't have specifics, then you should not be stating it as fact. Proof what you claim, or don't make the claim. There is no real evidence of college professors failing students because of their political views.

This was pretty interesting. You ne thing that I found very suprising is the percent wh viewed labor unions positively dropped as educational attainment rose on the republican side which makes sense. Higher education attainment usually puts people into management and not hourly labor union type jobs. However when liberals were asked the same question as education attainment rose for democrats viewing labor unions positively also rose. This doesn't make much sense unless one cnsiders it might be based more off of political ideology than actual particpation in unions as hourly workers.. could it also be that democrats are more likely to get derees in things that still have participation in public sector type unions such as education, where republicans tend more to get degrees in things like engjeering and busness? what do you guys think?

Interesting that you claim Liberals cling to political views as they gain education, but conservatives don't. I would suggest that it is the other way around.

I am not saying anything about people clinging to political views. I just thought it was interesting how the data fell out. I would love to do a statistical analysis on political leaning vs degree field vs years of education. I like looking at data! I am not saying either side is right or wrong. I was just posing a couple possible hypothesis about why it did. No offense meant to either side of the political divide! I didn't say my view on them at all. Post your own hypothesis to explain this data set, Sgt wilcox!
