Walt, it appears you are going for creep of the week. You may not like him or his positions which is fine but your tired, weak attacks are just that, tired and weak. Why don't you argue the merits of decisions and make a real argument if you are going to go after him.
Don't let some light weight editorial writer cherry pick a couple of sentences of a life's work and try to make a case out of it.
Even Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Scalia's legal nemesis, acknowledged his legal prowess and they formed a strong friendship over the years. Mutual respect even if they differed on outcomes. A trait you would do well to consider emulating.

Voted down... The man hasn't even been buried and you feel the need to stomp on him. He served his country with distinction in an manner which he believed was right. You may not agree but that's no excuse to drum up this rant and rehash an election ruling which you disagree with. Not exactly the conduct I would expect from a fellow serviceman.

No way I'll stand idly buy and let you insult the man who's majority opinion guaranteed the individual's right to self defense, or the individual right of freedom of speech.
It's due to the likes of him and men like him that prevent men like Justice Breyer from concluding that other amendments in the bill of rights aren't exactly individual rights either. Read his dissent and put any other amendment 1,3-9 in that context and see how tragic his opinion would have been. You don't really have the right for a fair trial, only as to support the collective, your right not to quarter Soldier's isn't an individual right just a collective right as decided by the government.
Sadly it requires bold men like Scalia to stand against injustice and tyranny. Even more so are the tyrants and unjust members on this forum.
