I think I know that spot, was stationed in Greece two times, first Two years, second 10 years later for 1 yr.I loved it and will tell you their SOF guys Greek SEAL's are good to go, use to see them training all the time, and our SEAL's would pass through all the time, we supported them when they did. Loved Greece, believe it or not that was considered Isolated tour of duty for us, I had a grate time Military Job wise, and definitely civilian liberty time outstanding.

That does sound like good duty CPO (Join to see). I'm jealous I've never got to go to peaceful foreign countries, except Japan on R&R.

SGT (Join to see) - Yep, did have some crazy things though, time frame was 96-98, During Bosnia, and Kosovo, and the base is a NATO base so we supported all that stuff and other things.

CPO (Join to see) - Been there, done that in Detroit, Michigan in 1967. Also, during basic there was a riot in our company. One of the DI's arm was cut off with an entrenching tool.

I saw one with his arm out the window. The article read that both of them survived without any serious injuries. Amazing.
