His debt has long since been paid! Time to put him in the Hall of Fame! I believe there are many of us true fans that he was only guilty by association! Unlike Rose who was caught red handed! I think even Rose should be the as a player with an asterisk by his name!!

I think Shoeless Joe was innocent and he should be reinstated and made eligible for HOF voting/consideration. Rose, on the other hand, should never be eligible.

I don't know enough to comment about Shoeless Joe, PO1 (Join to see), but I totally agree with you regarding Pete Rose.

CPO Charles Helms PO1 (Join to see) LTC Stephen C. I have read some on this and the bottom line I find as a constant is he was approached, stated absolutely no way, and the documents he put a mark on he couldn't read. Clinton re-defined what sexual relations with a woman are.... I think this was a railjob from the word go- someone throwing a game does not hit .375. Defies the laws of logic to me. Rose- he stated I bet on baseball and beat on my team. He felt justitified because he bet on them to win.

You make good arguments for Shoeless Joe, Maj Marty Hogan, but for me Pete Rose will never deserve admittance to the Hall of Fame.
