I'm not sure if ya'll have been around tanerite but it's no different than any other explosive. I used to have a saying when we taught explosive ordnance recognizance (EOR) or explosive safety classes; If you can see it, it can see you. This cat learned it the hard way.

Certainly not a smart move, the mower added the metal and resulting shrapnel, anything that can explode needs a respect and careful handling, guess He did learn the hard way ! If You don't know what You doing then maybe You better not.
