I haven't had very good luck with foreign guns. Even my Walther, Colts, I always had to have the gunsmith fine tune them.

Every design is a compromise within a compromise. The weight of a gun isn't as important as its center of gravity. A heavy gun can still "kick" and a light one may dampen the kick if it's properly balanced. That's just my opinion

I believe that Sig does not make junk. If they have come up with a new technology, it will be something that will last a long time. I love the 226, 229 guns for carry, and they just are a natural fit for my hand. The 320 is such a pleasure to shoot. I will wait for a year or two for the prices to come down, and then I will have to get one of these new pistols. I love the sound of how it was made.
