We did a lot of good things there. American troops have done good things for children virtually everywhere they've been.

My first ship supported a school in Olongapo, the second one supported an Orphanage outside Olongapo.

My unit supported one in Korea in 1966. We brought the orphans to our mess hall and found out they liked "sweet" milk; they would add 2-4 teaspoons of sugar to the milk.
