This study seems odd to me - simply because it's 2016 and we're just now figuring out that sleep deprivation leads to humans doing/saying things that aren't within what they would normally do or say? That and the fact that sleep deprivation has been an interrogation method for no telling how long.

The key point that this article makes to me is, in 2016 - we can confirm DNA (in cases in which we can gather it) and match it to a suspect. I'd like to see a study on what the percentage is of cases that have DNA available vs cases that have zero DNA available to utilize.
