Initially the Air Force wanted me until I told the truth that I'd smoked pot at least one time in my life. The recruiter showed me the door and later the Navy called. Now the Army is lowering standards even more? Laura Parks

It's all because the Army (and the other service in truth) can't find 80,000 recruits each year to meet the needs. Reduce the barriers to entry and you can meet the goal. As we learned before, lowering the bar has enormous consequences later on.... Doubt they have thought that far out to second and third order consequences...
