Is this the new types of officers that we have, running the new Army? What the "F" is wrong with West Point, and our Army. Article 15, and reduction in rank to a Pvt E-1 and send his sorry ass over to Afghanistan to be point man, in searching for buried IED's!

In some ways I am actually glad that this came out, even as embarrassing as it is to everyone...at least he was stupid enough to be caught.
What concerns me is that he did at least one tour as an enlisted combat soldier and then went on to West Point without this coming out. I will assume that he kept it under wraps, but his Battle Buddy at some point must have suspected something...
I am happy to see he got caught, and that he will not be allowed to further bring any more dishonor to the US Military (much less those who might have eventually come under his command). There is a lot of momentum, inside the Academy and within his unit I am sure, to make sure he is removed from any more contact.
One thing about the Military, we do tend to Police up our own from time to time

Sad story. If convicted he should be punished. Except I didn't agree with a comment said on a associated post that "He can probably get a job with the NFL disrespecting the flag"!! These people STILL don't get the significance of kneeling. It's not in disrespect for the flag, this country, veterans or any of that! Trump made it into that and that is wrong an Un Constitutional

Disagree about the kneeling. A person kneels to worship God. In this case the kneeling us a form of protest for supposed oppression to a specific group of people. I appreciate the rights of the individuals doing the protesting but I disagree with their choice of expressing that protest. The flag should be treated with respect.

Kneeling before the Flag is not a form of veneration of that flag..... putting the hand over the heart or saluting is.... but then again Michelle Obama couldn't even do it publicly either so how can we expect anyone to do it now when a former first lady could not show any respect to the flag either

Yes he did get a Commanders Recommendation......obviously that CO is now wondering WTF and has gone back to the entire leadership chain to see how they all missed this one very important fact
