And the Vietnam Vets say cute story bro.... US Army Artillery had many firing congfigurations on watercraft...including Navy LCMs. Just don't think the ships Company will like repairing spade or rocket damage to the decks.

This was from the Vietnam Artillery History by the US Army Artillery Center. 9th ID operated off Naval vessels doing Riverine Ops.
