Lord, have mercy. What will the Joes do in their spare time without this time-waster available on post?

1SG, it's either Pokémon or hours spent at the armory cleaning a weapon that doesn't need to be cleaned. :-)

Sgt Jason Markvart - I am not a believer in busy work, but this Pokémon nonsense is ridiculous. Soldiers doing this need to turn in their man card.
And if I hear one "PIKA!" in my formation, I am going to lose my shit.

I miss the days when the only person who carried a cell phone was the duty!

Great......send someone walking/driving to places where they have no idea where they are once they look up. I understand they are trying to get people off of couches and explore but I would like to keep my head up and moving around to notice the environment I am in than sticking my head into a smartphone, glued to the screen waiting for Squirtle to show up.

There have been reports of those who have been killed while playing this; how gangs are using the GPS to locate vicitims. One YouTube personality was playing and witnessed a murder.

I am a gamer too, but there are times I really just want to go walking in a field or downtown and actually explore. I also like to keep an eye on who's around me and where I am going.

PO1 (Join to see), I had to laugh this morning when the news was showing everyone walking around with their heads down in their phone. I didn't even know about this game until this morning. I'm not interested.

We can get some quality training out of this. Get the post map and create grid coordinates for Soldiers to look for. When they get there they can open up their app and catch any Pokémon in that area. Lets be honest you know these Soldier's are going to be on this app for hours every day for at least a few months while its still a hot topic. Lets get some good training out of it.
