Joseph William Kittinger II (born July 27, 1928) is a retired Colonel in the United States Air Force and a USAF Command Pilot. I saw where Baumgartner (sp?) did his epic descent, beating Kittinger. Love how he was sitting at Mission Control, cheering Baumgartner on.

SGT John " Mac " McConnell I have jumped out of perfectly good airplanes a time or two, but couldnt imagine a jump like this. Does sound like fun though. Is there a line for this ride?

I saw the Excelsior Gondola at the Air Force Museum in Dayton Ohio and I think it had something like this is the longest first step in the world as a sign on it.
