Sgt Wayne Wood - Yeah I've had to hurry in to the bear shacks in Alyeska (the port where the pipeline terminates in Valdez) a couple times. By treaty, the property isn't fenced, and they can't kill bears unless they're imminent danger to human life. So there's shacks you run into and call security, and they come shoot it with rubber bullets to chase it away.

SN Greg Wright - When i was in Anchorage some tree-hugger thought the bears wouldn't hurt him... went for a hike & didn't come back. Found his bones two weeks later... them critters ain't tame!
