I noticed that after I graduated from CGSOC in 2016, all the Majors went to go see Star Trek Beyond. After the movie, we all went to eat dinner. Much to my surprise, some of the under Majors did not know about the original crew of the Enterprise. Some where only familiar with Star Trek next Generation, or Star Trek Deep Space Nine or Star Trek Voyager. Others new only about about Star Trek Enterprise. I hope you all know this one!

The original Star Trek was first aired on TV during the time when I had fallen off the Earth. There wasn't much time to watch TV in 1966 while attending Infantry School for a year and the AFRTN didn't air it in Vietnam during 1967 to 68 when I served my tour of duty. Still, I had plenty of opportunities to watch in reruns over and over again and again...
