Always loved the theme and musical scores of the series.
Trek trivia...The singing with the music is Nichelle Nichols (LT Uhura). Her singing wasn't used during the original run. It was added to the recently re-mastered episodes.
Roddenberry wrote unused lyrics (considered really horrible..lol) to Alexander Courage's music to get 50% royalty fee for each episode or any other time the main theme was used.
