Was Actually Based On A True Event? Spielberg Had A Friend Stationed At Holloman Air Force Base , CA Where It Occurred And, I'd Guess Out Of Stupidity, Gave A Copy Of The Report To Spielberg, THEN The Individual Whom Gave Spielberg The Report Was Told It Was Top Secret But Spielberg Had Already Decided To Do The Movie, So The Place Was Changed, Movie Made And Advertised As Science Fiction ~~ "And That's The Way It Was", Courtesy Of Walter Cronkite..

My Problem, Seriously, I Always Drove Above The Speed Limits..
On My Way From Lansing To Grand Rapids, Michigan; I Was Driving My 4 Banger Benz;
Cop Pulled Me Over Because #I Passed Him. #2.. At 124 MPH - Per His Radar.
I Got Him Laughing And We Talked For A Few Minutes ~~ And It Was During The Time When 55 MPH Was The Max Freeway Limit ~~ BUT, At The End, I Was Issued A Citation ~~ READY?~~ "Driving Over 55 PMH, But Under 65 MPH, In A 55 MPH Zone" ~ I GIFT... Paid About 50.00 Or So +/- A Few Bucks, When I Should Have (By Law) Been Arrested For Wreck -Less Driving, Jailed And My Car Towed Away ~~ PS If Ya Can Get Them Laughing, They Can't WRITE The Ticket. LMAO

And I SWEAR It To Be 100% True: When I Passed Him, I Just Let Up On
The Gas And About Coasted To The Side And Stopped. He Pulled Up Behind Me, Lights Flashing, Stepped Up To My Window Which Was Already Rolled Down, And With The Usual Question, He Asked " Sir, Do You Know Why I Pulled You Over"? I Just Held My Breath For A Second Or 2, Trying Not To Laugh, Then Lost All Control And Blurted Out While Laughing "YOU GOTTA BE FUKING KIDDING ME" !! ~ Obviously, He Must Have Seen The Humor In His Question And CRACKED UP; And We Were Both There, Face To Face Laughing Ours Off Because It Was Absolutely HILARIOUS And We Both Knew It.
