This is good news. I go into DC and NYC often...and at my age I need to use the restroom...often! Good to hear that Starbucks will allow me to use the facilities without having to buy anything.

I'm sure there was a good reason of why the rule was made in the first place. Cities tend to have a high population of homeless and drug users. Not saying homeless should not have the right to use a bathroom (SF poop on the sidewalk) but homeless tend to cause problems at businesses due to their higher probability of having a mental disorder.
