Greetings,
I watched the video. I suppose, it makes some people feel good to listen to a good speaker tell them what works and they get motivated. Also, some folks might pay money to go to such meetings. That is their right.
To me, the veteran community exists to help and that is a good thing. There are individuals within it that can motivate better than others and then you have the experience factor that can lead those lacking in experience. Plus, VA family programs. I am glad to be a part of America's veteran community.
Talking only goes so far. An individual has to be passionate, trustful and Honorable if they want success. Sometimes, it is called hard work and be true to your word. Fellow veterans can not do that for me. Nor, do I expect my fellow hard chargers to do so.
Be a part of the solution. Get off your arse and make it happen! Do not take no for an answer. Do not quit. Move forward with a goal. Sometimes, you have to perform a single envelopment.
I am not an extremist. As a veteran I want to help my fellow veterans as best as I can. But, I do not exist to make you feel good. You can tell who cares about helping you. They listen to you. Veterans listen to veterans and help due of caring for one another.
We are all green. That was an order given to me and about 60 other killers in formation by several Senior enlisted with Smoky Bears. One individual did not follow that order. Big mistake. Huge.
Kind Regards,
Mark A. Morris BS, RDMS, RVT

The existence of the veteran community facilitates problem solving for those veterans that have issues that other members have resolved. It is an essential tool to help brothers and sisters in arms.
