Never was a big fan of that law. If you break into my house, that's one thing you'll get shot for because you are threatening my space and my family jsut by being there. But, if I come outside and find you stealing my truck, (a material object) is my truck worth more than a life? It's insured. The guy in Tampa Bay who got punched because he was talking crap to a mans family about parking in a handicapped parking space brought that on himself. What, was he the parking space monitor for the day or what? Shooting an unarmed man to death because you got punched and embarassed for talking crap isn't anything to shoot a man over. By carrying a gun, you have more responsibility not to use it. This ain't the wild west.

That's good advice, but these types of raids are typically no-knock. As a result of these "red flag" laws, resisting a warranted no-knock raid, will get people killed. SWATing is already a thing, where innocents are killed, frequently. Red-flag laws allow for pre-judging ALLEGED crimes which violates our Rights; IV, V and VI Amendments.

"I was just following orders" is not a justification to violate a citizens' civil rights; aka, Nuremberg defense.
