Some people really seem to hate the fact that the Constitution applies to people they don’t like

We have the most inmates per capita and it's not close. 2nd is Russia (go figure). It's big money in our country and not having inmates is less profit.

From my 24 years experience in Corrections (including detention facilities), these felons have nothing but time on their hands. They visit the library (and some prisons have a good legal library) and research case law after case law trying to find a loophole. Most of these felons are not deserving of a new trial. In 24 years I personally have interviewed over 3,000 convicted felons and maybe one had a case for appeal. The reason I say that is because he was a mirror twin and he took the hit for his brother but now he wants to turn things around and have his brother do time for actually committing the crime. When you read their presentence confinement and summary of their crime and with all the DNA evidence, that speaks volumes on their guilt.
