The Supreme Court hears yet another abortion case on Wednesday. This one tests whether a state can prevent a pregnant woman from receiving what her doctors say is essential medical treatment, including the termination of a pregnancy, if her health, but not her life, is in grave danger.

I have never, and still do not, support abortion as a form of birth control. HOWEVER....Sometimes they are medically necessary to protect the health/life of the woman. Other cases, such as Thanatophoric Dysplasia, Anencephaly, or Meckel-Gruber Syndrome would also be justifiable reasons to elect termination of a pregnancy. I won't get into the discussion about rape or incest cases.
