Surprise Military Reunions At NFL Games Reach Peak Bullshit

I had to stop reading half way through. My BS bell was going off too loud. Since she is a Marine and with her work history, and his family ties, there is no way she didn't know he was coming back. This surprise set up has too much of a pre-arranged set up ring to it.

I was at that game with my best friend, also a retired Army officer. We did scoff a little when we found out he was just returning from an assignment in Korea (they announced that at the game). However, we didn't know that he was from the Busch family, nor that she was from a political family in Illinois. What seemed like a cheesy reunion, at the time, now looks like just a staged butt-kissing of two well-connected families.

It's been exposed how the NFL has been taking money from the military to have events in stadiums, I can't say I'm surprised. And no I doubt this would happen for any lowly E-1 in any branch. But if his/her last name happens to be the right name like these two, you never know.
