Tallgrass Brewing was founded in 2007 and expanded in 2015 to a 60,000-square foot facility, which the company said quadrupled its capacity. Tallgrass has been distributing beer in 18 states, according to the website.

It appears that they expanded too soon in a very competitive market, without securing enough financial backing.

Very interesting. It sounds like they were trying to pull a Karbach Brewing, except they didn't have the InBev interest up front. My Company, Comflow Mechanical Services, did the Plumbing Construction on the Karbach Brewery. We were surprised when they came forward with Expansion #1 right when the original Construction was completed and turned over. Before Expansion #1 was complete they already had Expansion #2 in the works with #3 right behind it. InBev bought them up shortly after all the work was completed.
