Democratic Rep. Ted Lieu (Calif.) fired back at a Twitter user who criticized his visit to Cirque du Soleil, saying he "served on active duty" to defend the other user's "racist" comments.
"I served on active duty in the United States military to defend your right to say stupid, racist shit," Lieu wrote in response to the Twitter troll.

I didn't serve and retire from the Corps to defend your right to be smug and condescending and make a damn fool of yourself under the guise of an elected official. Yes you have freedom of speech, but it would help if you remembered that you represent ALL Americans...not just your block or far left leaning voters. Touche'
