Over 18, all bets are off, they can make this mistake on their own, below 18, let this nonsense runs it's course and be a normal boy.
Want to wear a dress and think you are a girl, go for it but any medical changes, wait until you are of legal age.

Exactly so. A quick search of the interwebs will reveal dozens of media articles detailing transgender individuals who in their early 20's are attempting to reverse the gender conversion procedures they had as teens. Many detail severe mental illness involved with their hasty transition.
Personally, I say after the age of 21, you do you. Before that, if society says you aren't mature enough to responsibly handle an alcoholic drink, you sure as Hades aren't mature enough to make that big of a life altering (no pun intended) decision.
