As a repeat E2 (company shit bird) I love my Corps. Still do, even after being out 16 years. I remember there were major personality divisions at the time of people becoming NCOs them again they transition at the SNCO level. Cpls and Sgts would burn you. A staff sergeant would burn you too but knew how to do it with tact. But my favorite Marine of all time was my company 1st Sgt. That man could burn you with a gentle whisper and a smile. You would leave his office a better person and he would back you up as long as you were in the right. (Even as a PFC when a Gunny was in the wrong. ) He left my unit to become the Sgt Major at 22MEU. Sgt Major Fenton Reese was my (for lack of abetter word) hero. I looked up his name on Google, found that he became part of the recruiting structure in New York. If anyone knows him and keeps in contact with him, tell him thank you.

This one was interesting to read. I'm under 6' but I've been doing pullups with >BW for years. Strength and muscle mass are NOT the same.
