2. Cop suspects he was there to shoot up an anti-gun protest. Maybe the article doesn’t reveal the interrogation but my experience with Cops is when they aren’t stretching or out right lying they are making great assumptions to make themselves more competitive for detective.

"Massive" is an overstatement. Don't get me wrong, the guy probably needs some help, but based on the photo, he is a "hobbyist" at the Entry-level, but I've had more than that in my car at times.
I would like to get a look at that AR at the bottom though, and figure out exactly what he's got strapped under the grips. Looks to big and too short to be a shotgun and the wrong shape to be a flashlight. Would be very interested to see if it was "functional" or just cosmetic.
