Story of how US Troops found 7,000 stacks of looted Nazi Gold Bullion in Merkers, Germany in the closing days of WWII by the US 90th Division. The gold stacks measured 75 feet across & 150 feet wide & was buried in an old salt mine. My father was a PFC operating a BAR with the 45th Inf Div (NG) in France. Before he was severely wounded , his Company loaded onto trucks and took a ride. A Nazi Death Camp was in the area and Gen. Patton demanded all of his troops see it. Dad only spoke of the experience onetime. He was already a combat veteran my this time . He said they smelled the decaying bodies five miles away from the camp. A Road was cut through the camp and they drove through it from one end to the other.

SFC James Heath thank you very much for this gory description. Any people who are white supremacist and believe what David Duke thinks about Israel and Iran and believing that the Holocaust was a made-up fairytale is totally wrong! Eisenhower said that he wanted these film Crews to record this so there wouldn't be some sun of a Bravo disputing this fact 50 years later. He was like David Duke and others today are doing exactly what general Eisenhower was trying to prevent. He was trying to prevent people from disputing the facts later down the line!
