Interesting. We bought our house new in 2016 for $200,000. It is currently appraised at $387,000. Part of the increase here is the news that the Air Force was expanding Ellsworth AFB with an additional 5000 troops. More military, more housing needed. We live about 8 miles from the base.
Also, I finished our basement, plus some other improvements. So all that money is not necessarily profit.
