And the Speaker of the House has recently stated his willingness to work with President-elect Trump. I saw in the article a quote from Senator Rand Paul (is that who you meant instead of Paul Ryan?) stating that he finds several of the potential cabinet picks unacceptable and will vote against them if they are nominated. This is much different than stating that he would "fight against any Trump nomination" as you wrote above.

CPT (Join to see) Fair enough. Still, I'm fearing that Trump will be facing an Obama-esque obstruction in Congress and this time, it will be both sides of the aisle.

SSG Michael Hartsfield - You never know until it happens. I think with Republican control of Congress and the Presidency we'll be getting some good stuff done. We'll see what happens.

Trump beat both parties at their own game. Some on both sides will possibly be slow to accept him. Many will try to gain political capital by either supporting or opposing him on issues, and it will be based on the will of their constituents and public opinion in general. So it will likely be 4 years of constantly shifting tides, same as always. At face value it appears some are setting the stage for blocking him at all costs and that's not a winning strategy for the Nation. Look at what the last 8 years opposition has caused.

MSgt Michael Bischoff - Not a conservative, and ultra conservative. One who thinks the bible should be taught as history, one who thinks a woman's place is barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen, one who is going to turn back all of the progress made in the last fifty years. That type of person would cause a fight.
